What is Constructiononline?

Constructiononline was originally a government department committed to improving operational practices in the construction sector. It is now an independent agency that has worked with buyers and suppliers in the construction industry for more than twenty years, aiming to connect buyers to the highest-quality contractors available on its network.

Compliance is central to everything that Constructiononline does. This includes gaining familiarity with new requirements and standards as well as enabling buyers to search for quality businesses across a wide range of criteria.

Constructiononline fulfils an enhanced version of PAS 91 criteria and also has the ability to validate suppliers who satisfy SSIP. Buyers can then use its system to speed up and simplify the procurement process, finding only those contractors with proven accreditation.

What is Constructiononline Gold?

Bronze and Silver Constructiononline memberships offer Acclaim SSIP, identity, insurance, and financial information to buyers. However, Gold goes beyond this by also including accreditation that the firm is committed to equal opportunity and diversity, environmental management, quality management, building information modelling (BIM), and corporate and social responsibility. Therefore, Constructiononline Gold demonstrates firms’ operational excellence to prospective clients.

To qualify for the scheme, businesses must pay an annual membership fee and then answer questions from Constructiononline about their businesses. If they pass, they will join the Gold-accredited network.
