Case Study

Four Industrial Shutters & Wicket Door

Industrial Roller Shutter Installation for Storage Facility near Diss

Ace Door Systems was recently appointed to supply and install four industrial roller shutters for a storage building located near Diss. The project presented a number of technical challenges due to limited structural space available for fixing and the requirement to integrate multiple shutters within a restricted steel framework. To achieve the client’s operational needs, the shutters had to be specially designed and installed back-to-back, allowing each door to operate independently without the need for wider support surfaces.

In addition to the structural constraints, one of the shutters required the integration of a wicket door to provide pedestrian access. As this was the only entrance point into the building, it was essential that the wicket door delivered secure, reliable and safe access without compromising the strength or functionality of the main shutter. Our team designed a bespoke integrated solution that allows convenient entry while maintaining full security when the shutter is closed.

Under the leadership of our Senior Engineer, Carl, the installation team executed the project with precision and efficiency. Despite the complexity of the setup and the confined working environment, all four shutters and the wicket door were successfully installed, commissioned and tested to meet required performance and safety standards.

The finished installation not only provides secure and practical access to the facility, but also delivers excellent visual consistency and professional appearance. The client was extremely pleased with the end result, and the project stands as a strong example of our ability to deliver tailored solutions in technically challenging environments.
